Friday Night Funkin' is a rhythm game developed by ninjamuffin99, Kawai Sprite, PhantomArcade, and evilsk8r. The premise is immediately charming: a college dropout rapper is trying to win his girlfriend's heart, but her father — a former rock star — wants nothing to do with the relationship and challenges him to a rap battle. Even after clearing that hurdle, the couple faces a string of further challenges ahead.

How to Play Friday Night Funkin'

Before each rap battle, choose a difficulty level — starting with easy is recommended. Once the music begins, watch for colored arrows scrolling up the screen. When a colored arrow lines up with the corresponding arrow at the top of the screen, press the matching key. The health bar at the bottom tracks how the round is going: if the green portion drains away entirely, the round ends in defeat.
