5 nights in Monster School puts you in the role of a night guard at the Monster School, a place haunted by Hirobrin — the teacher from Minecraft who prowls the halls after dark. Armed with nothing but an ordinary computer, you monitor cameras, read messages, and answer calls while trying to survive until 6 a.m. each night. Several scenes show a room with red brick walls and wooden floors surrounding a square pool of water. In some of those same views, a character in light-blue armor carries two swords with black and white patterns.

How to Play 5 nights in Monster School

The goal is to survive all five nights without being grabbed by Hirobrin. When Hirobrin appears, a characteristic sound plays — that's your cue to switch to the camera tab and locate the monster. Once spotted, press the red button to scare him off with a bright flash. Hirobrin is very afraid of bright flashes, so that button is your primary defense.

Stay attentive to incoming messages, since Hirobrin likes to send creepy texts and photos to unsettle the guards. Answer the phone when it rings as well. The phone battery drains over the course of a night, but reaching 0% simply starts a new day — it has no other effect on gameplay. m.
