Dune
About Dune: Pixel-Art RTS for Control of Arrakis
Dune is a pixel-art real-time strategy game credited with laying the foundation for the entire RTS genre. The struggle at its center is a fierce contest for control over the desert planet Arrakis, fought between three Great Houses. One scene shows a large grey armored vehicle with visible tank treads set against a tan and cyan background. Another moment presents a portrait of a man with blonde hair and eyebrows wearing a high-collared blue uniform. A separate scene displays a green snake coiled around a brown rectangular object on a banner.
How to Play Dune
Choose one of the three Houses — Atreides, Harkonnens, or Ordos — each bringing its own distinct tactics, units, and structures to the fight. Harvest Spice, the universe's most valuable resource, to fund your military and expand your base. From that economic foundation, build armies of infantry, armored vehicles, and aircraft, then destroy enemy bases and repel attacks. Each House has its own campaign made up of missions on the planet's global map, and your decisions there determine the next front.
