Animal Crossing is a combination-and-discovery game where the goal is to cross two creatures together and reveal the surprising hybrid that results. The game holds a large roster of animals — crocodile, pig, mouse, dinosaur, dog, capybara, robot, duck, elephant, bear, lion, shark, giraffe, kangaroo, snake, penguin, cat, skeleton, spider, and turtle — each ready to be paired with any other. The results range from toothy and a little scary to genuinely cute and outright amazing. Several scenes show blue rectangular cards displaying photographs of animals including a lion, a pig, a penguin, and a giraffe. With many possible combinations to unlock, the challenge is working through them all and climbing the ranking among other players.

How to Play Animal Crossing

Select any two creatures, then click the Connect button to see what hybrid emerges. The game tracks which combinations have already been discovered, and a hint system is available whenever you lose track of which pairings remain untried. A built-in gallery lets you browse pictures already created or check how many combinations are still left to open — reach it by clicking the button that looks like an image icon.
