Agartime
About Agartime
Agartime drops you onto a large map as a tiny cell, and the goal is straightforward: eat food, grow larger, and become the biggest cell around. The catch is that any cell bigger than yours is a threat, so staying aware of your surroundings is essential. Small colored circles of various hues are scattered across a gray grid background throughout the game's views. In one scene, a large yellow circle sits at the center of the grid, surrounded by smaller circles of different colors.
No two sessions play out the same way. Sometimes growth comes fast; other times the map demands patience and a search for safer ground. That variability is the core appeal — each run invites a fresh approach and a reason to try again. Agartime is built for a relaxed pace, letting each session be enjoyable on its own terms.
How to Play Agartime
Eating food scattered across the map makes your cell grow, and the objective is to reach the top of the size hierarchy while avoiding cells that are already larger than you.
Controls
- Mouse cursor: Moves your cell across the map
- Spacebar: Splits your cell into multiple parts, allowing you to move faster and dodge danger
- W key: Ejects mass, used for precise control
