STALKER 2033: METRO Zombies drops you into the boots of Stalker Skif, a seasoned operative who stops at a small transit town to resupply during a dangerous mission into the Zone. What he finds is far worse than anything in the wilderness: darkness has swallowed the streets, most residents have vanished or turned into the walking dead, and the town offers no safe haven. Skif must survive the nightmare, gather vital resources, and piece together the mystery behind the town's collapse.

Three possibilities hang over every corridor and alleyway — a powerful emission from the Zone, a failed experiment by a secret institute, or a leak of a deadly virus. Every decision could be Skif's last, and every step edges him closer to the truth or to death. The game challenges survival skills across a zombie apocalypse setting, with character leveling and weapon and gear upgrades woven into the experience.

Skif's goal is to survive the zombie-overrun town, find vital resources, and uncover what destroyed it. Along the way, level up his character and collect and upgrade an arsenal of weapons and gear. Every decision carries weight — the wrong move can be fatal, and the truth about the town's fate waits at the end of a very dangerous road.
