Red Ball 4
About Red Ball 4: Physics Platformer Where a Ball Saves the World
Red Ball 4 drops you into a world under siege: evil Gray Cubes are plotting to squeeze every round thing on the planet into a square shape, and only one plucky red sphere stands in their way. The game is an arcade physics platformer that blends precise control, quick reflexes, and logic across five chapters of escalating challenge. Several scenes show the red sphere — complete with two large eyes and a mouth — rolling and bounding through its world. The story moves from grassy hills through dense forests and an industrial factory, then launches into a space adventure and finally a cave rescue mission, each chapter carrying its own mini-story.
Pleasant graphics, an interesting storyline, realistic character movement physics, and intuitive gameplay pull you into the conflict between Red Balls and Gray Cubes from the very first level. One scene shows a central device with a dark grey spherical core and five glowing blue circles emitting three thin blue lines that terminate in bright flashes.
How to Play Red Ball 4: Collect Stars and Stop the Gray Cubes
The goal is to collect stars and navigate through each level's landscape, reaching the end to push back the Gray Cubes and ultimately stop them from turning the world square. Each level gives you three lives. A collision with a Cube or a poor landing costs one life, but certain hazards — water and spikes among them — can end a run on the first contact. With every new level, the landscape grows more complex, new enemies and traps appear, and interactive items must be moved to unlock the path forward.
Levels / Maps / Worlds
The story spans 5 chapters, each built from 15 levels. Every fifteenth level ends in a Boss battle.
- Green Hills: The Red Ball crosses hilly terrain featuring dips, water bodies, stairs, and steps for climbing and jumping. Water is the primary danger here.
- Deep Forest: A forest world with more complex landscapes and puzzles. Switches, moving platforms, circular saws, and new enemies are introduced.
- Box Factory: An industrial zone that adds Bomb Cubes and laser puzzles on top of all previously introduced elements.
- Battle for the Moon: After victory at the factory, the Gray Cubes flee to the Moon to make it square. More complex Cosmic Cubes and gravity itself become obstacles.
- Into the Caves: An additional story that opens with a romantic scene between the Red Ball and his beloved. She is captured by evil Cubes at the most romantic moment, and the chapter tasks you with collecting keys and defeating more cunning enemies to rescue the Princess.
