Mutant Fishing
About Mutant Fishing
Mutant Fishing drops you into a river teeming with creatures that radiation has twisted far beyond recognition. The game's premise is simple and genuinely strange: ordinary river fish — redfin, roach, crucian carp — have been warped into something else entirely. Some carry huge holes in their bodies with bones jutting out; others have fused with entirely different animals. Several scenes show a character in a green hooded jacket and green gloves seated in a brown wooden boat, rod in hand. In one view, a grey fish with large teeth bears a circular orange and black radiation symbol embedded in its side.
The deeper you cast, the more dangerous and exotic the creatures become, and the goal is to study them all by building out a full trophy collection. Mutant Fishing leans into mystery and discovery, rewarding curiosity about what lurks further down.
How to Play Mutant Fishing
The core objective is to catch as many mutant fish as possible while assembling a complete trophy collection. Throwing the hook deeper brings encounters with increasingly exotic specimens, so depth is directly tied to variety.
When a mutant resists being reeled in, rapid repeated tapping on the screen is required to break free and continue. Every catch contributes to the larger collection, making each dive a step toward completing the full catalog of mutant species.
Controls
- Tap center of screen: Cast the fishing rod
- Hold tap + lead in direction: Control the hook's movement underwater
- Rapid repeated taps: Resist a mutant fish that fights back
