Driving in the City drops you into a sprawling open world set against a wonderful summer atmosphere, with five-story apartment buildings and greenery lining the roads. Several scenes show tall, grey, rectangular multi-story buildings with rows of uniform windows and balconies running along the streets. Several scenes also show large white six-wheeled trucks with blue stripes and bars over the windows positioned near city intersections. The open world has no time limits or restrictions, and police or bus driver missions are available to take on.

The vehicle roster spans a VAZ 2105 (Zhiguli), a VAZ 2110 (Ten), a Range Rover (Range), a police VAZ-2108, and an Ikarus bus with an accordion-style design. Obstacles, traffic lights, and pedestrians are all part of the environment — avoid them or engage with them at will.
