About Drill and Dig!: 2D Roguelike Treasure Hunt

Drill and Dig! drops you into a fast-paced 2D roguelike where each descent is a fresh treasure hunt through an ever-deepening mine. At the controls of a drilling machine, you smash through hundreds of blocks, collect rare resources, and pick upgrades that can completely reshape a run. The mine grows more dangerous the further down you go — and more rewarding. Fuel management, lava, mines, and monsters all stand between you and the depths, though a powerful enough combination of abilities lets you charge straight through, leaving explosions and destruction behind.

One scene shows red cylindrical bundles with a lit fuse tucked inside a square grid block. Another block reveals three pinkish-white spheres with large pupils set into fleshy textures.

Progress carries over between runs: the workshop lets you upgrade your drill and unlock new equipment, so every descent pushes your starting point deeper. Daily and seasonal leaderboards let you compete against other players, and the Hall of Fame preserves the names of champions permanently.

How to Play Drill and Dig!: Mine Resources and Explore

The goal is to mine resources, explore diverse locations, and assist the inventor Polly in her adventures. Keep an eye on your fuel and navigate around lava, mines, and monsters — or build a combination of abilities strong enough to blast straight through. The deeper you reach, the more valuable the hidden treasures become, and every run feeds upgrades back into the next.

Controls

PC Controls

• Left / Right Arrow Keys or A / D: Press and hold to drill in the desired direction
• Spacebar: Skip dialogues
• Left Mouse Button (Mode 1): Hold to drill in the direction of the cursor
• Left Mouse Button (Mode 2): Move the cursor while holding to activate an on-screen joystick

Mouse control modes are switchable in the pause menu.

Mobile Controls

• Tap and Hold (Mode 1): Hold your finger to the left or right of the drill to dig in the desired direction
• Swipe (Mode 2): Swipe anywhere on the screen to activate an on-screen joystick
