Animal.io is a multiplayer arena game where the goal is simple and physical: throw enemies off the platform using your tail. The longer your tail grows, the more dangerous you become — and the path to that length runs straight through the meat scattered across the arena. One scene shows a circular platform with a gray stone-textured rim sitting atop a blue water-like surface, and another shows a brown, cracked-earth landmass surrounded by a solid blue background. The arenas shrink over time as sections of ground sink, forcing players closer together and making battles more frequent as the match progresses.

How to Play Animal.io

Eating meat is the engine of everything in Animal.io. Regular-sized meat grows your tail by one step, while larger meat produces a bigger size increase. Poisonous mushrooms shrink you, though eating meat afterward lets you recover. Bomb explosions reset your tail to its original length, so staying clear of blasts matters — and if your tail touches a bomb, it may detonate, so pushing bombs away is the safer move.

Your tail can sweep mushrooms off the arena, but it can also knock meat away in the same motion, so using that sweep carelessly can cost you resources. The choice of when to attack is yours: wait for your tail to grow long before engaging, or press the attack immediately depending on the situation.

Stages and Progression

• Survive regular stages and finish in 1st place to advance to the next stage.
• Bonus stages task you with collecting all the coins on the map.
• Checkpoint boss characters behave differently from regular enemies.
• Reaching higher ranks or meeting other conditions unlocks new skins.
